This construction includes the single conductors insulated with Teflon® PFA, laid parallel and jacketed also with the same material. It is applied as an insulation or jacket by conventional extruder processes. It retains useful strength and flexibility over broad ranges of environmental temperature or thermal aging.
With Teflon® PFA construction this true thermoplastic material is available in long lengths and provides flexibility and toughness with stress crack resistance, resistance to weather, non-aging characteristics, and a low coefficient of friction for ease of pulling through conduit.
Suggested operating temperature is up to 500°F (260°C). The insulation on the individual conductors and jacketing are both color coded to ANSI standards for quick identification of conductors and calibration.
For detailed information on the various thermocouple types, insulation properties, gauge sizes, and wire weights see our Technical Data catalog.
