These are ceramic protected pipe sleeved thermocouples. The ceramic tube of 99% pure Re-Crystallized Alumina or Mullite is available in sizes ranging from 3/8" to 1" O.D. with corresponding pipe sleeve sizes of 1/2" NPT to 1" NPT. They can be simplex or duplex of ISA Thermocouple Types "K", "N", "S", "R", and "B". Thermocouple wire is 24 AWG for Noble Metal Types "S", "R", and "B". Gauge sizes of Base Metal Types "K" and "N" vary. The terminal head may be Cast Iron or Cast Aluminum.
