This simple wire type thermocouple is available in ISA Thermocouple Types "T", "J", and "K". The Hot Junction has a washer that accepts stud sizes of #6, #8, #10, and 1/4". Popular styles use stranded or solid wire of gauge size 20 AWG or 24 AWG. Insulation is normally Fiberglass or Teflon®, but other options are available as well. The cold end can have split leads (with or without spade lugs, a BX connector is optional) or a standard plug/jack or a mini plug/jack for connecting to instrumentation.
