Melt bolt thermocouples are available in ISA Thermocouple Types "T", "J", and "K". Style 4Y has a MgO insulated thermocouple sheath that runs from the tip to the plug. Style 4Z also has a MgO insulated thermocouple, but it's transitioned to 20 AWG stranded fiberglass insulated lead wire inside the bolt for a more flexable extension leading to the plug.
